Bio: Kristen Lowe                                        

Lowe's drawings have been exhibited nationally, including solo shows at Bradford Gallery in San Francisco, Harvard University and Kingston Gallery in Boston, and in Minneapolis at Thompson Gallery and Flanders Contemporary Art . Group exhibitions include film screenings at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Boston Museum of Fine Art, and The Boston Museum School. Her work is in private and public collections, including the Louvre Museum, Paris, where videos she co-directed are in their visual education permanent collection.  Lowe has been the recipient of grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board, professional faculty development grants, served several schools and Universities as an art juror, and has been a conference speaker on best practice theories in the fine arts. She currently teaches Contemporary Art, Seminar courses and Drawing courses at Gustavus Adolphus College. Previous to this she taught for thirteen years at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and briefly at St Olaf College and a few others. She earned a MFA from the Boston Museum School and Tufts University, Boston, MA. and a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and design.
